October 2019: Fell, Fall, Falling

According to the New Yorker, the Danish term hygge can be defined as “a quality of cosiness and comfortable conviviality that engenders a feeling of contentment or well-being.” I just went on a couple dates with a Dutch boy and he verified this is a concept they take very seriously. Given the inevitable shrinking of the thermostat rouge bar, with the changing of seasons in our lovely home and native land, I think the art of coziness is something Canadians can get on board with. Both fall and winter can be excellent months to implement all sorts of hygge experiences in your life. Oat milk lattes or steamy turmeric teas in coffee shop corners. Lenny Kravitz-esque scarves (truly iconic). Red wine and a candlelit dinner. Dominos with a few best friends and a cozy playlist on a Sunday night. Lucky for you we’ve got just the tracks. The coffee shop treats are on you.
