July 2019 Playlist: Long Hot Summer
When I was curating this playlist, I was really looking to mimic the feelings that seemingly exist in their purest forms in the summer. Of unparalleled freedom; of limitless possibilities.
I wanted a playlist that could fit seamlessly into any of my favourite summer memories - lazy lakeside days under the sun, warm nights with cool breezes on patios, bike rides along country roads, reading under a tree in the park.
Some of these songs will forever bring to mind people, or instances. There’s one on there for a boy who taught me to adventure; another for friends who I hope to roadtrip with for the rest of my life; one’s for my brother who will probably be on thousands of playlists in a few years; and all of them are for you, lovely reader! I hope you enjoy and make your own memories with them.
